In recent years, Euro-Trans Conferences were organized by two cooperating universities:
the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Szczecin. Since 2021, the third partner of Euro-Trans is the University of Gdańsk. Given the dynamic changes in the academic environment and its surroundings, we decided to modify the Euro-Trans formula. Our ambition is to organize an international conference, which brings together outstanding scientists, businesspeople and authorities from Poland and abroad, and in a few years will become an established event for the exchange of the latest knowledge in the logistics and mobility sectors. In future editions of Euro-Trans, organized annually in sequence in Warsaw in 2021 and then in Gdańsk and Szczecin, the results of scientific research and expert studies will be presented. We hope for quality publications prepared in teams consisting of scientists and businesspeople which would be published in top ranking journals. The Euro-Trans 2021 Conference will focus on “Green Finance for Brownfield Transport Sector Transformation”. The premise for starting a discussion in this area is the fact that the transport sector is undergoing transformation, guided by the European strategy and national public policies implemented on an international scale and in line with top megatrends, the key to which are digitalization and increasing circularity in manufacturing and consumption. This includes the reduction of carbon footprint of energy production and use. On the EU level these megatrends are supported by the "European Green Deal" strategy for which “Green Finance” is an important implementation tool that plays a vital role in shaping a new financing framework for the transformation of the transport sector. The Euro-Trans 2021 conference will be held a hybrid form, i.e., at SGH Warsaw School of Economics site and on the Internet. This will give an opportunity to attract both speakers and participants from all over the world. We count on interesting and inspiring discussions.
